Gold, Pink, and White Silk

Having worked a lot with blues and greys, I turned to this delicious-looking combination of gold, pink, and champagne that I had had in mind for a while. The colors and the softly glowing dupioni silk create a very fresh and feminine look.

I like this so much that I'm thinking of doing the same design in different colors, definitely with green where the pink is but otherwise the same.

This one is now sold, but I'm thinking of making the same design in different colors. Blue? Green? Purple?

Blue and White Cotton

This tallit, made of 100% Egyptian cotton, represents a new style for me. I typically applique stripes onto a solid color fabric, but in this fabric the stripes are woven in so that the blue and white show on both sides. The soft weaving gives the shawl a great drape, making it very comfortable to wear. I embroidered the full tallit blessing by hand onto a strip of matching blue dupioni silk and finished the atarah with the same natural Osnaburg cotton that I used for the corners. I am also making a co-ordinating zippered bag.

Size: 18 1/2 x 75 inches, excluding the fringe.

This tallit is now sold, but I have more of the fabric and will make another one.

Classic Black and Silver

I had a piece of off-white wool that I wanted to make into a tallit with a classic, traditional look. The piece was a little short, but when I added a wide band of silk at each end--charcoal, silver, and black on the top side, and a matching off-white silk on the underside--I got to a 76-inch length, which is generous for most men.

I repeated the same colors on the atarah and embroidered the full tallit blessing in silver on black.

This one is now sold, but I can make a similar one, not with the exact fabric for the main piece, but close. Please inquire.
